The Restaurant
Three meals.
One view.
At Sakatia Lodge, you can stay on a room only, bed and breakfast or half board basis. We do not offer full board but we do have a snack menu available at lunchtime. Our chefs produce original meals drawing on Madagascar’s rich mix of culinary influences, South East Asian, French, African and Creole. Expect freshly prepared breakfasts, home-cooked snacks at lunch and a three-course table d’hôte dinner each evening, with a complimentary Rhum Arrangé after dinner.

- Lunch (snack menu): 11:30 – 14:30
- Dinner: 19:00 – 20:30
Breakfast
Our breakfast buffet includes cereals, yoghurt, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bread, breakfast cake, fresh local fruit and eggs prepared to preference.
Lunch
Our snack menu includes croque monsieur, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, salads and gateau royal.
Dietary requirements
From vegetarian and vegan to gluten-free, our kitchen is happy to accommodate dietary requirements. Just let us know when you enquire.
Children
Babies eat free. Children up to 12 years have a discounted meal price.
The Bar
A bar with the
best view
The Sakatia Lodge bar is open throughout the day. Perched above the beach with an uninterrupted view of the ocean, it’s the natural gathering point for sundowners, afternoon drinks and evening conversation. It’s also the perfect place to slow down and watch the changing tides, with the sea constantly reshaping the view throughout the day.
We serve a range of cocktails, beer, wine, Rhum Arrangé and our signature mojito and caipirinha, which have become something of a legend among returning guests.
As the day draws to a close, the changing light over the bay often puts on a show of its own, best enjoyed with a mojito, caipirinha or one of our non alcoholic cocktails.
Private dining
Dinner on the beach
For special occasions, an anniversary, a birthday, a romantic evening, we can arrange a private dinner on the beach for up to four guests. A table on the sand, lanterns, the sound of the ocean and the stars above. Available on request, subject to weather.
