Drop below the surface after sunset and experience a different world on the reef. The change from “day shift” to “night shift” allows us to see different creatures and different behaviours.
And our local dive sites make Sakatia Lodge the ideal spot to plunge in.

See life on the reef in a new way

From sea hares and nudibranchs to octopuses and slippery lobsters, the reef is different at night.
Come and explore with us for the chance to see what happens after dark when creatures emerge to hunt and the day residents bed down for the night.

Hermit crab

A range of sites nearby

We have five dive sites within 1.5 km of the Lodge, which means it is really convenient and safe to go night diving with us.
No more long boat trips or difficult shore entries and exits, just great diving and a few minutes travelling on the boat, watching the sunset or seeing a sky filled with stars.

Sea hare

Small groups underwater

We believe dives are better when there are fewer divers to a guide, so we can show you the amazing creatures we find.
For that reason, we limit the number of divers on a night dive to four divers to one guide.

Slipper lobster

Night dives when you want them

Whether it is just one diver or a group, we make our dive schedule based on your preferences.
We are happy to run night dives any evening where we have crew members available and conditions are suitable.
